Mission and Goals
The mission of the Family Ties Project is to promote and preserve the well-being of children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS by working with parents and caregivers to plan for the future care of their children.
The goals of the Family Ties Project are:
- To decrease the risk of abandonment of children infected/affected by HIV/AIDS through the development and provision of comprehensive permanency planning services.
- To develop/advocate for policy and systemic reforms which supports the parent/caregiver abilities to choose and maintain their children’s life plans.
